Dementsprechend stieß er auf großes Interesse, als 2004 bekannt wurde, dass er mit &#039;&#039;1899 - London Gothic&#039;&#039; an einem neuen Projekt arbeitete. Dieses war zunächst noch ein Ein-Mann-Projekt, das ursprünglich noch auf dem [[RPG Maker 2000]] gestartet wurde. Nach eigenen Angaben spiegelte dieses Spiel Grandys eigene Interessen wesentlich stärker wieder, als dies bei Düsterburg der Fall gewesen sei. Mit &#039;&#039;1899 - London Gothic&#039;&#039; versuchte er seine Liebe für Literatur der viktorianischen Zeit  (Wilde, Dickens, Doyle, Stoker) mit seinem Interesse an [[Pen&amp;Paper-Rollenspiele]]n, westlichen RPGs und LucasArts-Adventures zu verbinden.
